Registered Veterinary Technologist

Malia B.

Malia spent 5 years on Vancouver Island attending the University of Victoria. There she found an internship at a wildlife organization known as Wild ARC (Wild Animal Rehabilitation Center). Malia has always had a passion working with and helping animals; however, it was through this wildlife rehabilitation center that she truly found her career path. She applied to the Animal Technician Program via distance education through Thompson Rivers University. She spent 3 years working with and expanding her skills to become a Registered Animal Health Technician. Malia graduated from the program in 2016 and has been expanding her knowledge and growth in the field ever since. Previous to joining Ok Vet, Malia worked at a dental practice on Vancouver Island where was able to gain an interest in educating owners about their animal's dental health.

Upon returning to the Okanagan, Malia joined Okanagan Veterinary Hospital and has since be an invaluable team member.

Malia and her husband like outdoor activities during the summer months and traveling during the cooler, winter months
