Initially wanting to pursue a future in yoga teaching, Dylane found her love for animal nursing while travelling in India where she ended up volunteering at a non-for-profit helping street dogs. It was there that she took in a sick 3-week-old puppy, nursed him, and after falling in love with him, brought him back home to Kelowna with her. When she flew back home, she started working at the local SPCA and as a veterinary assistant. It wasn’t long until she knew she was destined to be a veterinary technologist. After graduating from Thompson River’s University as an RVT in 2023, she joined the team at Okanagan Veterinary Hospital. Dylane is dedicated to taking care of patients like they are her own, and treating all pets with kindness and compassion.
